Light pickleball paddles (under 7.8 oz)
The finder calls a paddle light when the brand's average weight is under 7.8 oz; Paddletek's own lightweight class is 7.3 oz and under (Paddletek). A very light paddle absorbs less shock, so the arm does more of the work: if your arm is sore, stay nearer the middle of the range (Paddletek, Pickleball.com).
For quick hands at the net, the sources look at swingweight rather than static weight: low to medium for the shape (Pickleball.com, Paddletek).

How we ranked this
The finder's “Light” answer hides paddles averaging 7.8 oz or more (brands often quote a range; the finder uses the middle). This table uses its control scoring, which favours a low-to-medium swingweight for the shape. Only paddles with a published weight are listed.
Every figure is the brand's own published spec; “not published” means the brand doesn't give it, and we never fill it in. Swingweight and twistweight bands are judged against the paddle's shape, using Pickleball.com's bands (Pickleball.com). The full scoring is on How we rank.
