Who it suits
- 12.7 mm core. A thinner core is livelier, the traditional pick for pop (Onix, Paddletek), though Pickleball Effect's 2026 analysis finds modern 16 mm paddles have lost little of it (Pickleball Effect).
- Midweight, 7.4–7.6 oz. Between Paddletek's lightweight (7.3 oz and under) and heavy (8.5 oz and over) classes: the range suggested for beginners and for sore arms (Paddletek).
- Widebody. The most forgiving shape and the best on comfort measures (Pickleball Effect): a good start if you're undecided (Pickleball Effect).
- 5.25 in handle. Just long enough for two hands; PickleballUS puts the minimum at 5.25 in (PickleballUS).
Not published by Paddletek: grip size, swingweight, twistweight. The finder never hides a paddle for a missing spec; it ranks it lower.
